British Standard Mastic Asphalt for Flooring
(Limestone Aggregate) to BS 6925:1988 Type F, 1076

Although Kitemarked and covered by BSI certification the following grades are manufactured to within much narrower requirements than those set out in the British Standard specification. Floorstar S - BS 6925: 1988 Type F 1076/2/1 Special hard grade flooring asphalt Floorstar L - BS 6925: 1988 Type F 1076/2/11/B Light duty flooring asphalt Floorstar M - BS 6925: 1988 Type F 1076/2/111/B Medium duty flooring asphalt Floorstar H - BS 6925: 1988 Type F 1076/2/1V/B Heavy Duty flooring asphalt N.B. Grades L, M and H are also available with 25% Trinidad Lake Asphalt which provides improved laying properties.

Special Grades

Permanite also manufactures specialist grade products to meet the most demanding of conditions:

Acid-Resisting Asphalts can be manufactured to withstand certain acids and other chemicals (details of the chemicals, their concentrations and working temperatures must be provided).

Gritless Asphalt Grades can be supplied for flooring in factories where explosives are handled and the use of a spark-proof material is essential.

Coloured variants are available which are covered by BSI Certification to BS 6925: 1988 Type F1451.
