FLOOD DEFENCE SYSTEMS

Working extensively with the Environment Agency, Regional Water Companies, Local Authorities and Major Civil Engineering Contractors, Permanite products and systems have proven very successful for flood defence work throughout the U.K. The advanced range of bitumen based products is particularly suited to the onerous conditions experienced in the protection of sea walls, embankments and revetments.

Permanite’s sea defence grouting mortars are hot-type mixes of sand, filler and bitumen. Stone and gravel can be added if necessary. These mortars are utilised for grouting stone revetments above and below water level and also for slab construction. They have been used successfully on sea walls, river and canal embankments, channels and underground works.
